It has been a bit since I did a dive into a cryptid or like supernatural creature, and I decided to go with one I had not been aware of – Boo Hags. Boo Hags are a variation of the “hag” myths. Hags are seen all over folklore and legends with a wide range of different types. The term comes from the Old English word haegtesse, which roughly translates to “witch.” They are typically women and almost always evil. Boo Hags, are hags, but they are also related to vampires. I thought we could dig a bit into Boo Hags and where they come from.
