As mentioned in my Roswell post, on our vacation, we made many stops in New Mexico and Texas. Hands down the highlight of the trip was Carlsbad Caverns. Given that I have lived in New Mexico (on and off) for such a long time, it is rather shameful that I had never been. We did the natural entrance, the Big Room, and a tour of The King’s Palace. I overdid it a bit with pictures so expect several posts in the future.

Overall this trip was good for me. The trip itself was a good reset for me mentally, and the Caverns specifically were beautiful and inspiring. I look forward to sharing more highlights and cannot recommend taking a trip to the Caverns enough.
