I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for everyone that has ever supported me as a writer, whether they’ve realized it or not. A lot of people get caught up in just whether or not they can buy your work. Honestly purchasing work is helpful, but it’s hardly the only way to offer support.
Every person that reads this blog helps. Every person that visits geeksnerdsunite.com helps. Every person that retweets when I shout out articles, stories, blog posts, etc helps. Every person that “likes”, shares, comments, replies, on articles and blog posts helps. Every person that talks about my being a writer even in the most causal way helps.
There are so many ways you can support indie authors and we appreciate them all. Buying our works means a lot but it’s not the end all. It is extremely hard for me to self promote, I don’t know the ends and outs of how to do it, and I get insecure about it. Every time someone retweets, or shares, or even makes their own post supporting my work it means so much to me. The reality is it’s not just about the amount of money we make, but how much we grow our audience. Simply being part of mine is offering support and I appreciate that.
So thank you. Thank you for being part of my audience, and thank you for every single thing you do to support me. No matter how small you think it is, I notice and I appreciate it. I encourage you to continue not just for myself but for all the writers (also artists, streamers, etc) out there you support.
Review, “like”, retweet, share, talk about us, visit our sites, interact with us, tell others about us, do all the little things you already do, and know that we have seen it and we cannot put into words how grateful we are.
